Advance Patient Care Through Early Detection
The ASD Insight™ test integrates seamlessly into standard pediatric and obstetric care pathways, requiring only a 3mm skin biopsy or discarded circumcision tissue. Sample collection can occur as early as birth, with results available within weeks of sample receipt.
The test complements rather than replaces standard autism screening protocols, providing early risk stratification that enables early intervention planning.

Why Add ASD Insight™ To Your Practice?
Provide clarity and support to families with answers, available earlier than ever with first-of-its-kind test.
Our test utilizes advanced technology for autism risk detection based on a biologic marker.
Research shows that early diagnosis of and interventions for autism are more likely to have major long-term positive effects on symptoms and later skills.

Why Test For ASD Risk?
Know Earlier
By screening at birth, families are able to plan early intervention, enabling access to developmental therapies during critical neuroplasticity windows when intervention efficacy is maximized.
Act Sooner
Published research demonstrates that early intervention beginning before age 2 results in average IQ improvements of 17+ points compared to standard care initiated at typical diagnosis age.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does ASD Insight™ differ from traditional autism screening methods?
ASD Insight™ is a risk test that analyzes a critical node in the complex signaling pathway leading to ASD. This node is the activation of an organellar calcium ion channel (IP₃R) found in all cells. The test measures the channel behavior as it releases the calcium store to initiate a range of cellular behaviors implicated in autism including the fusion of neurotransmitter-containing vesicles into the synapse, activation of mitochondrial ATP synthesis, immune T & B cell responses, and gut motility & secretion. The ion channel is incapable of stable opening in ASD, so all of these cellular functions are significantly impaired. A low calcium signal below a calibrated threshold is associated with ASD. A substantial majority of individuals scoring in the ASD range on ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) testing demonstrate calcium signaling patterns below the established threshold. Specific behavioral features and severity cannot be predicted.
ASD Insight™ provides early risk detection for autism but does not replace ASD diagnostic tests. This test should be used as an early indicator for increased surveillance and monitoring for autism.
What is the process for collecting patient samples?
A skin biopsy can be conducted by a qualified healthcare professional. The biopsy can be sampled from any site. The upper thigh is a common site , or other areas with thicker a dermis layer. Local anesthetic can decrease discomfort. Physicians can use the plunger-style biopsy punch provided in our testing kits to perform the procedure according to their protocols. From there, the physician ejects the biopsy directly into the specimen tube, submerging the sample in approved transport media.
Is ASD Insight™ a valid clinical test?
Does insurance cover ASD Insight?
